MSC resumes Transpacific service
GENEVA : MSC has announced the reinstatement and improvement of Liberty service, a standalone product of MSC, aiming to provide additional capacity for the ongoing robust demand in the Transpacific market.
As part of this enhancement, MSC is introducing a new direct call to the port of Philadelphia.
The Swiss/Italian container carrier said the service will offer competitive transit times into the United States East Coast with 40 days needed from the port of Singapore to Philadelphia.
“The expanded Liberty service creates new opportunities for importers and exporters across all commodities, enhancing connectivity between these vital trade hubs,” noted MSC in a statement.
The 2010-built container vessel MSC Houston will be deployed on the first sailing of the service with an estimated time of arrival (ETA) at Singapore on 8 August.
The full rotation of MSC’s Liberty service will be Singapore – Shanghai (China) – Busan (South Korea) – Miami (US) – Savannah (US) – Charleston (US) – Philadelphia (US) – New York (US) – Singapore
