MSC to take part in Trans-Port 2021
GENEVA : MSC will be taking to the stage at Trans-Port 2021 to explain where the industry stands on its digitalisation progression and what is needed going forward to ensure players work together to achieve interoperability.
Held in Santiago, Chile, TRANS-PORT 2021, VII Maritime and Port Congress and Exhibition aims to address the maritime and port communities of Latin America. The event brings together key industry players and logistics providers from around Central and South America to share knowledge about all the latest innovations and updates around the very important areas of digitalisation and sustainability.
Digitalisation in the shipping industry
As a leading proponent of digitalisation, MSC will be sharing a keynote at the event. André Simha, MSC’s Global Chief Digital & Information Officer, will be virtually taking to the stage at 08.45am GMT-3 (1:45PM CET) on 10 November to share an update on where the industry stands on its digitalisation progression and what is needed going forward to ensure players work together to achieve interoperability.
Andre’s contribution will explore, among other things, the progress and benefits of MSC’s electronic bill of lading (eBL) solution, as well as the recently launched collaboration project by the Digital Container Shipping Association (DCSA) in partnership with carriers, ports and terminals toward standardising data exchange for port calls, using API as the modern technology.
