Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train to boost Economy and save travel time
MUMBAI : The Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail project is expected to change the level of mobility in India. The goal of the undertaking is not only to decrease travel duration but also to effectively interlink the economies of the two regions. The Shinkansen model of Japan serves as the basis for this endeavour.
Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw has compared the impact of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train with the Shinkansen (bullet train) that was first implemented in Japan to connect Osaka and Tokyo. According to the Minister, Vaishnaw sees the ‘Indian corridor’ having the same economic outcome.
Vaishnaw stated that Even the satellite towns of Ahmedabad like Thane, Vapi, Surat, Bilimora, Vadodara, Nadiad-Anand are going to grow tremendously, thereby amalgamating into an economic hub.
The high-speed rail is also expected to change the daily routines of businessmen and traders. Ahmedabad people will not only be able to savour sweets and snacks for breakfast, but also travel to Mumbai and return in time for dinner with the family, which is a reality today due to high traffic.
A high-speed train will give them more freedom, flexibility, and hope, he explained.
He said that the residents of Mumbai will also be able to conduct business in those cities and fly back in the day. He said, “The bullet train is not an infrastructure development project. “It is an initiative taken to transform the economy of eight-five cities bordering the six economic zones.”
