Mundra Port sets New Record in Rail Operations, Handles highest-ever Cargo volumes

MUNDRA: Mundra Port, India’s largest commercial port and a key gateway for containerized trade, has achieved a significant operational milestone by setting a new record in its rail cargo movement last month (July, 2025).

The port successfully handled 898 double stack container rakes, transporting 0.46 lakh TEUs, marking its highest-ever performance in terms of both rakes handled and cargo volumes moved via rail.

In a major highlight, Mundra also registered a new import record by moving 541 import double stack rakes, carrying 0.27 lakh TEUs — the highest-ever import throughput in a single month since the port’s inception.
