
NICDC and NEC deepen collaboration for smart logistics and industrial innovation
NEW DELHI : In a meaningful exchange with Mr. Hiroshi Hashimoto, Corporate Executive VP, NEC Corporation, Japan, Shri Rajat Kumar Saini, CEO & MD, NICDC, discussed strengthening collaboration between NICDC and NEC in advancing tech-driven solutions for India’s industrial and logistics ecosystem.
The success of NICDC Logistics Data Services Limited (NLDSL), a joint venture between hashtag#NICDIT and hashtag#NEC established in 2015 which enables real-time tracking of EXIM containers across India, was also discussed. It’s an impactful Indo-Japan initiative in logistics efficiency.


Key areas explored included the deployment of advanced Japanese technologies for public welfare in India, multilateral G2G collaboration opportunities and participation in an upcoming international event in Tokyo.
Further strengthening the India-Japan partnership, a Japanese Industrial Township is being established at Tumakuru, strategically located along the Chennai–Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (hashtag#CBIC), being developed by NICDC.
Both nations remain committed to co-creating solutions that meet domestic needs and drive global leadership in logistics and digital innovation.
