PIL awarded two accolades by the Port of Shanghai

SHANGHAI : PIL is honoured to be invited to participate in the ‘2023 Shanghai Port Container Business Consultation Annual Meeting’ organised by the Shanghai Port Authority on 6 January 2023. During the event, PIL was privileged to be presented with two awards – ‘Pioneering Award of Shanghai Port Southeast Asia Route’ and ‘Pioneering Award of Shanghai Port Yangtze River Business Growth’.
 
The theme of the meeting was “Strengthening Collaboration and Striving for Growth”.  Discussions centred around views on the development of Shanghai as an International Maritime Hub, and to ensure the stability and security of the global supply chains.
 
Mr Klaus Ku, Managing Director, PIL China shared, “The Port of Shanghai is our key trading port in China and PIL deeply values the longstanding partnership and mutual support rendered by Shanghai Port over the last 10 years. Having full confidence in Shanghai Ports’ leadership and strategic business direction, we look forward to more opportunities to build a deeper partnership to contribute towards Shanghai Port’s effort to increase its throughput targets.”
