PM Modi virtually inaugurated DPA Kandla’s Interchange cum Road Over Bridge (ROB)

GANDHIDHAM : Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India virtually inaugurated Deendayal Port Authority, Kandla’s Interchange cum Road Over Bridge (ROB) at LC 236 (Kutch Salt Junction) on NH-141 and dedicated to the nation. Deendayal Port Authority, Kandla organised a LIVE Screening for the virtual inauguration at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Convention Centre, Gandhidham on 25-02- 2024.

The program was witnessed by Smt. Maltiben Manheshwari, Hon’ble MLA Gandhidham; Shri S.K. Mehta, IFS, Chairman-DPA; Shri Nandeesh Shukla, IRTS, Dy. Chairman; Senior officials of Ports, employees of DPA & IPRCL, students of college and general public at large. The Interchange cum Road Over Bridge at LC 236 is poised to provide immense support to port infrastructure, bolstering logistics performance and economic growth. It will provide much desired connectivity to the Port from the National highway and shall also provide a face–lift to the approach roads to the Port in line with Gati Shakti. The planning and construction of the ROB saw significant involvement from the Engineering Department of the Deendayal Port Authority. The Dedication to Nation of the ROB brings forth numerous merits and benefits to the region and the nation as a whole. It facilitates smoother and faster movement of traffic, reducing congestion and travel time for commuters. Furthermore, it enhances the connectivity of Deendayal Port with its surrounding areas, improving logistical efficiency and stimulating economic growth.

Additionally, the ROB significantly enhances safety by eliminating the risk associated with railway level crossings. It ensures uninterrupted movement of vehicles, thereby reducing the chances of accidents and improving road safety standards. The Dedication to Nation of the ROB at LC-236 marks a significant milestone in the journey of the Deendayal Port Authority towards building a stronger, more connected
