
Sarbananda Sonowal chairs the inaugural meeting of the NMHC
NEW DELHI : Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal chaired the inaugural meeting of the NMHC(National Maritime Heritage Complex) governing body. The meeting focused on preparing a roadmap for the development of the much-anticipated heritage complex.
Led by Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of Vikas and Virasat, NMHC will be a showcase of our 5,000 year old seafaring legacy and a global hub of maritime tourism and research.
Once completed, it will stand as a proud reminder of Bharat’s importance in the global maritime landscape since time immemorial.
In attendance were Hon’ble Minister of State Shri Shantanu Thakur, Shri T. K. Ramachandran (Secretary, MoPSW), representatives of the Indian Navy, the Coast Guard, and officials from various ministries, among other esteemed dignitaries.
