Shri. S. K .Mehta Inaugurates Training Hall, Port Help Desks & Command Control Centre in DPT

The Govt. of India initiative as part of the Ease of Doing Business, for common IT platform amongst Six Major Ports including Deendayal Port Trust has completed an important milestone. Due to concerted efforts of IPA, New Delhi and DPT Management, the Port is now ready with Training Hall, Port Help Desks & Command Control Centre with server room for the ERP implementation project.

In order to achieve paperless Government Office as part of Go Green initiative, the Training Schedule for DPT Officials on e-office has been programmed, which will commence soon.

Shri S.K. Mehta, I.F.S., Chairman, DPT alongwith Shri Nandeesh Shukla, IRTS, Dy. Chairman, DPT have inaugurated the Training Hall, Port Help Desks & Command Control Centre at 1230 hours on 12th February, 2021. The HODs & Dy. HODs of the Port Union representatives, employees of DPT, the representatives of the system integrator M/s. Tech. Mahindra, members of the Press among others graced the occasion.

Deendayal Port Trust is a pioneer Port in adoption of new Technologies for Ease of Doing Business for the Port Users and Stake holders of the Port. On the completion of the Enterprise Business Solutions project (ERP) with SAP Hana Databases, Port Operating System, Hospital Management System, ReFx estate Management System, FICO Finance Module, HCM Human Capital Management System etc. will usher in a new era in the Port Sector technology adoption & cloud based real time transaction facilitation. The ERP systems will get integrated to RFID based Gate entry systems, Port Community System & Customs Modules, which will further bring in transparency in the Port and will enable reduction in transaction cost at the Port, due to expedited transactions, movement of man, machines and cargo.
Chairman, DPT has thanked all the concerned for achieving this milestone and expected that the full systems will soon roll out as scheduled, which are Harmonized as per International Standards
