SPPL Rail Terminal felicitated Top Performers of SHIVAM PFT – SUKHPUR at 2nd Annual Award Function

AHMEDABAD : SPPL Rail Terminal held its 2^nd Annual Award Function on Saturday, 25^th November to felicitate the Top Performers of SHIVAM PFT PVT LTD. – SUKHPUR (HALVAD) for the year 2022-23 in the domestic forwarding. The said event was organised in association with Vibrant Media & Events (Parent Company of India Shipping News).

The Chief Guest of the event was Shri Mohammad Azhar Shams (IRTS) – Director (Domestic) CONCOR. Eminent personalities which includes Shri Prakashbhai Varmora, MLA, Dhrangadhra Constituency, Gujarat, Mr. Abhilash V – Chief General Manager, CONCOR – Ahmedabad Cluster, Mr. Kapil  Rawat – Chairman, SPPL Rail Terminal, Mr. Avdhesh Chaudhary, MD – SPPL Rail Terminal and other Senior Officials of CONCOR and SPPL were also present at the function.

Mr. Kapil  Rawat, Chairman, SPPL Rail Terminal in his welcome speech briefed about the history and foundation of SPPL Rail Terminal. He further highlighted the current facilities available at SHIVAM PFT (Private freight Terminal) and about the future plans for enhancing capacity. He also spoke about the contribution of SPPL Rail Terminal in CONCOR’s overall Domestic Trade.

Shri Prakashbhai Varmora, MLA, Dhrangadhra Constituency, Gujarat in his speech highlighted the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and about the infrastructural work progress and future plans of Central Government for Gujarat. He focused about the Ceramic industry in Gujarat. He also assured the promoters of SPPL Rail Terminal about providing all the necessary infrastructure require for development and expansion of SHIVAM PFT and domestic goods movement.

Shri Mohammad Azhar Shams (IRTS) – Director (Domestic) CONCOR in his Keynote address praises about the role of Gujarat in the overall domestic movement of Concor. He pointed out that out of Concor’s overall domestic movement of 4,40,000 TEUs, Gujarat alone contributes 1,20,000 TEUs. He also said that out of Concor’s total domestic trade earning of Rs.2300 crores in 2022-23, Gujarat alone contributes Rs.863 crores which is almost 38% of the total earning, and out of Rs.863 crores SHIVAM PFT PVT LTD. has contributed about Rs.200 crores in 2022-23. He also said that Concor is focusing on Gujarat for domestic trade. He also assured that all facility will be provided to SHIVAM PFT by Concor whenever it is required. He further emphasized on Concor’s future plans of adding 40,000 new containers for domestic movement and also adding 172 more Trains and 10 more Domestic Terminals.

The Top Performers felicitated in the Domestic Freight Forwarder category for 2022-23 were

1^st Position – M/s. SHIV CARRIERS

2^nd Position – M/s. INLAND WORLD LOGISTICS PVT. LTD.

3^rd Position – M/s. WESTERN CARRIER (INDIA) LTD

The Award function also witnessed the recognition of new upcoming Domestic Freight Forwarders. Equally, Big Corporate houses like Nirma , RSPL and GHCL and Government of India body Food Corporation of India were also recognised for their contribution in the growth of the PFT. Moreover, the field staff of Domestic Forwarders, Transporters, PFT Staff members, Local Railway Officials were also recognized and felicitated for their contribution at ground level work.

SHIVAM PFT- SUKHPUR is probably the only PFT operator in domestic area to organise such Annual Trade Meet and Felicitation programme.
