STPI Export Awards 2022-23 : TCS emerges as top IT exporter from Bengal

KOLKATA : Tata Consultancy Services Limited emerged as the top IT exporter from West Bengal in the Rs 3000 crores and above category for the year 2022-23. The company was crowned with the IT Ratna of West Bengal by the Software Technology Parks of India, an autonomous society under the Union Electronics and IT ministry, which works towards boosting the country’s software exports and nurturing the Start-Up ecosystem in the IT and ITES sectors, at the STPI Exports Awards.

IBM India Private Limited was the leading IT/ITES exporter in the Rs 1000 crore to Rs 3000 crore category.

The awards, divided into seven categories based on export volumes and each category having multiple sub-categories, were given out from the ABP Group’s recently-concluded Infocom 2023 platform in Calcutta by Dr Andrew Flemming, the British Deputy High Commissioner for East and North East India. Here are some glimpses from the glitzy award ceremony.

Senior representatives of IBM India collect the top IT/ITES exporter award in the Rs1000 crore to 3000 crore category from Manjit Nayak.

Pinnacle Infotech Solutions emerged winners as both the top exporters as well as the highest new job creators in IT/ITES in Tier II/III regions of West Bengal. Deloitte Consulting India Pvt Ltd bags the award for employing the highest percentage of differently-abled persons in the category of exporters of Rs 100 crore to Rs 1000 crore.

Ltimindtree Limited won the award for becoming the highest new job creator in IT/ITES in exporters of Rs 100 crore to Rs 1000 crore category.

DCG Data-Core Systems (India) Pvt Ltd was the winner for employing the highest percentage of women in the category of exporters above Rs 25 crore to Rs 100 crore.
HCL Technologies Ltd was awarded with the trophy for recording the highest percentage of growth in IT/ITES in the category of exporters above Rs 25 crore to Rs 100 crore. The company also won the award for becoming the highest new job creator in the same category.

Coforge Limited bagged the award for becoming the top IT exporter in the category of exporters above Rs 25 crore to Rs 100 crore.Value RCM Solutions Pvt Ltd was awarded the trophy for being the highest new job creator in the category of exporters above Rs 5 crores to Rs 25 crores.

Aegis Customer Support Services Pvt Ltd won the trophy for being the highest new job creator in the category of exporters up to Rs 5 crores.
