Transworld Group explores strategic collaboration with AP Govt to boost coastal shipping and port-led growth
DUBAI / VISAKHAPATNAM : In a move aimed at strengthening India’s maritime and logistics ecosystem, Mr. Ramesh S Ramakrishnan, Chairman of Transworld Group, met with a high-level delegation from the Government of Andhra Pradesh in Dubai. The delegation was led by Hon’ble Minister Dr. Ponguru Narayana, accompanied by Mr. Kanna Babu, Commissioner, APCRDA, Mr. P. Sampath Kumar, Commissioner, CDMA, and Retd. IAS Officer Mr. Srinivas.
The discussions centred on collaborative opportunities in coastal shipping, port-led industrial value creation, and logistics infrastructure development in Andhra Pradesh — one of India’s most strategically positioned maritime states with a 974 km coastline and access to major trade corridors.

Mr. Ramakrishnan noted that the meeting reflects Transworld’s mission to contribute meaningfully to India’s coastal shipping development, align with the Maritime India Vision 2030, and enhance multimodal trade connectivity.
Transworld Group has also been invited to the upcoming 30th CII Partnership Summit 2025, to be held in Visakhapatnam, where it plans to further explore avenues for public-private collaboration, green logistics, and maritime capacity building.
