Strengthening Rail-Port Coordination
Rail connectivity plays a critical role in the movement of bulk and other cargo handled at Paradip Port, linking the port with industrial centres, hinterland markets and key consumption destinations. Effective coordination between the port authority and railway administration is therefore essential for ensuring efficient cargo evacuation, optimising terminal operations and improving the overall logistics chain.
The joint review reflects the importance of regular institutional engagement between Paradip Port Authority and East Coast Railway in addressing operational issues and facilitating smoother cargo movement.
Through coordinated efforts, both organisations are looking to enhance operational efficiency, improve infrastructure utilisation and strengthen the reliability of logistics services for port users and trade stakeholders.
