Mawani and Marasi to establish Seamen’s Club at Saudi Ports
RIYADH : The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) and Marasi Marine Service Co. have reached an agreement to set up a Seamen’s Club at Jeddah Islamic Port, King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, and Ras Tanura Port to offer accommodation and leisure facilities for local and international maritime crew and boost the suite of world-class services to shipping and logistics companies at the Kingdom’s ports.
The deal was signed by HE Omar Hariri, President of Mawani, and HE Talal Al-Hamdan, Marasi Chairman.
The agreement will see a contemporary-designed hotel take shapewith a host of amenities and features adorning the state-of-the-art facility including meeting rooms, cafes, restaurants alongside a mini mart and ahealthand wellness club.
It will also provide banking and foreign exchange services besides housing an entertainment zone, clinic, pharmacy, and an integrated services center.
Mawaniis keen on nurturing a wellbeing-focused ecosystem that empowers the maritime community to bring their best versions to the fore while rewarding their efforts in building a brighter tomorrow for the sector in specific and the Kingdom in general.
With initiatives of this nature, the national maritime regulator is breaking new ground in its journey to position Saudi Arabia as a thriving and sustainable logistics hub connecting ports across the world in line with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy (NTLS).
