Suraj Forwarders handle first metal scrap import at Hazira Port
Suraj Forwarders is fortunate to handle the very first import consignment of Stainless Steel Melting Scrap by M/s Rajputana Stainless Ltd at Hazira Port on 20th Feb 2020 and the import through Hazira Port is going to benefit the trade and industries in the nearby districts, which otherwise dependant on ports like Nhava Sheva, Mundra and Pipavav. Import clearance directly through this port is going to save time and transaction cost too, considered to be the need of the hour for every business.
Suraj Forwarders is known in the State for handling metal scrap custom clearance and recipient of several awards from Concor and other independent agencies for their outstanding performance year after year.
The company has its presence at various ICDs – Khodiyar, Sanand, Sachana, Dasarath, Ankleshwar and Mundra Port and now adding its wings to Hazira Port. Import of metal scrap is subject to notifying the port by DGFT and this has been done through Public Notice No.31/2015-2020 dated 01.12.2020 on successful installation of Radiation Portal Monitors and Container Scanner facility at the port in the month of September 2020. The impact of COVID-19 in the country has delayed the scanner commissioning, else it would have been done few months earlier.
Hazira Port developed by Adani Group in operations since 2012 and handling various commodities in high volume since then.
Suraj Forwarders was again the first to handle the metal scrap in 2005 when ICD Sabarmati (Khodiyar) notified under PSIC regime and offering its excellent services to the trade since then.
