OceanOpt and BetterSea Partner to Integrate FuelEU Pooling for Shipping Clients
DUBAI : OceanOpt, a provider of specialized emissions management services, and BetterSea, a provider of a FuelEU compliance platform and marketplace, on Monday announced a strategic partnership.
This collaboration integrates BetterSea’s FuelEU Pooling Marketplace directly into the OceanOpt emissions management platform, providing OceanOpt users with access to FuelEU pooling capabilities.
The integration allows OceanOpt users to access BetterSea’s pooling marketplace, including standardized legal and financial frameworks, within their existing OceanOpt software. This facilitates the execution of FuelEU pooling transactions within a platform used for emissions tracking and decarbonization planning.
For OceanOpt clients, this integration offers direct access to a FuelEU Pooling Marketplace within their current platform. OceanOpt will provide support for document verification, data correction, accounting services aligned with FuelEU requirements, and transaction execution. OceanOpt will also assist clients with defining banking or borrowing strategies with verifiers and registering them on the FuelEU database to obtain the FuelEU Document of Compliance. For clients utilizing pooling, OceanOpt will manage the administrative work for submissions to verifiers.
This partnership aims to provide a unified and reliable pathway for shipowners, operators, and charterers to navigate FuelEU compliance. OceanOpt and BetterSea are collaborating to simplify the process of FuelEU compliance for the shipping industry.
