WMU and VMU sign MoU on maritime education and research

SWEDEN : On 12 June, the World Maritime University (WMU) and the Vietnam Maritime University (VMU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing international cooperation in maritime education and research.

Signed by Professor Maximo Q. Mejia, President, WMU and Dr. Pham Xuan Duong, President, VMU, the agreement sets the foundation for academic and scientific collaboration between the two institutions.

Furthermore, the MoU outlines several key areas of cooperation, including the exchange of students, faculty and staff as well as collaboration on research projects and activities; mutual invitations to seminars, symposia and other scholarly events; and broader academic collaboration as mutually agreed by both institutions.

The signing took place during an official visit by a Vietnamese delegation to Sweden and was witnessed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh of Vietnam and Benjamin Dousa, Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of Sweden.
