NEW DELHI : In a major boost to India’s freight movement, the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) witnessed a 22% increase in the total number of trains operated in July, rising from 4,589 in July 2024 to 5,607 in July 2025.

The growth reflects DFCCIL’s commitment to accelerating freight efficiency through innovative services, smart cargo handling, and seamless multimodal connectivity.
