Deendayal Port Authority lights up Kandla for ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign
GANDHIDHAM : In a dazzling display of national pride, the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) illuminated Kandla with vibrant fluorescent lights and fluttering tricolour flags as part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
The initiative, aimed at uniting citizens under the spirit of patriotism ahead of Independence Day, transformed the port city into a festive spectacle. Buildings and public spaces were adorned with the Tiranga, while the glow of lights reflected the collective pride of the community.

Officials from DPA said the campaign underscores the importance of honouring India’s national flag and fostering a shared sense of unity. “The Tiranga is a symbol of our independence and the sacrifices that built this nation. Lighting up Kandla is our way of paying tribute,” a spokesperson noted.
The Har Ghar Tiranga movement, launched under the aegis of the Government of India, encourages citizens to display the national flag at their homes, workplaces, and institutions from August 13 to 15, celebrating the country’s 79th Independence Day.
As the celebrations continue, DPA has called on residents and visitors alike to join in saluting the Tiranga with pride.
