CMD CONCOR Sanjay Swarup honoured with “SEPC Stellar Visionary Leader of the Year Award”
NEW DELHI: Shri Sanjay Swarup, Chairman and Managing Director of Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR), was conferred with the “SEPC Stellar Visionary Leader of the Year Award” at the Conclave on Future-Ready Logistics in India, organized by the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) under the Ministry of Commerce on Friday in New Delhi.
Expressing his gratitude on the recognition, Shri Swarup said, “Grateful to SEPC for conferring the Stellar Visionary Leader of the Year Award at the Conclave on Future-Ready Logistics. This recognition is a testament to Team CONCOR’s efforts in driving sustainable, tech-enabled multimodal logistics for a greener and future-ready India.”
During his address at the inaugural session, Shri Swarup highlighted CONCOR’s strategic initiatives aimed at transforming India’s multimodal logistics ecosystem. He underscored the company’s expanding role in the movement of export cargo using CONCOR-owned containers and its pan-India operations of over 400 container trains across 190 locations.
He also elaborated on CONCOR’s development of 4.5 million sq. ft. of warehousing space to strengthen supply chain infrastructure and emphasized the company’s commitment to green logistics solutions. Initiatives such as the deployment of LNG trucks, electric vehicles, and electric trucks at the Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) Dadri have been rolled out to ensure sustainable first-mile and last-mile connectivity.
Further, Shri Swarup shed light on CONCOR’s digital transformation journey, which includes AI-driven operations at ICD Tughlakabad (TKD), a live rake monitoring system, and online container booking facilities, all aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and customer convenience.
The recognition at the SEPC Conclave reflects CONCOR’s continuous efforts to integrate innovation, sustainability, and technology into India’s logistics landscape, further strengthening its position as a key enabler of the country’s trade and export growth.
