NAVI MUMBAI: PSA Mumbai, one of the largest container terminal in India at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), has shattered its own volume records by handling 243,000 TEUs in August 2025—securing a dominant 35 percent market share at JNPA, informs a communique.

This milestone extends a record-breaking performance trajectory that began with July 2025, when PSA Mumbai recorded 231,000 TEUs, marking its highest-ever monthly throughput and similarly capturing a 35 percent market share.

While industry reporting consistently recognizes the 231,000-TEU mark in July, the August figure of 243K TEUs was announced via PSA Mumbai’s official LinkedIn statement.

Infrastructure investments, operational efficiency enhancements, and robust rail connectivity continue to fuel this sustained growth.

As India’s premier container terminal, PSA Mumbai plays a pivotal role in the nation’s trade ecosystem. Its consistent gain of a 35 percent share at JNPA highlights its strategic importance in supporting India’s broader $5 trillion economic ambitions. The terminal’s advancement continues to elevate JNPA’s competitive edge in the maritime logistics space.
