APSEZ done with a strong October performance of handling 40.2 MMT cargo

AHMEDABAD : Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) reported a strong operational performance in October 2025, handling 40.2 million metric tonnes (MMT) of cargo — a 6% increase compared to the same month last year. The growth was led by a sharp 24% surge in container volumes, underscoring the company’s continued momentum in the segment.

Between January and October 2025, APSEZ managed a total cargo throughput of 284.4 MMT, marking a 10% year-on-year rise. Container traffic remained the standout performer, recording a 21% increase during the ten-month period.

In its logistics operations, rail volumes climbed 16% in October to 60,387 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), while cargo under the General Purpose Wagon Investment Scheme (GPWIS) slipped 6% to 1.7 MMT. For the January–October period, rail volumes advanced 15% to 418,793 TEUs, and GPWIS cargo registered a modest 1% uptick to 12.7 MMT.

Adani Ports is set to announce its second-quarter financial results on Tuesday, November 4. The company’s stock traded steady at ₹1,451.5 per share in early Monday trade, sustaining a year-to-date gain of 19.1%.
