FFFAI invites Applications from Young Logistics Professionals for Nomination to ‘FIATA Young Logistics Professionals Award 2026’
MUMBAI: It is a good initiative by FFFAI to promote young entrepreneurs, forwarders, and logistics professionals. The Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations in India (FFFAI) is inviting applications from Young Logisticians and FFFAI Members (aged between 18 and 35 years as of 1st Jan 2026) to participate in the ‘FIATA Young Logistics Professionals Award 2026’. This platform provides young talent and second-generation entrepreneurs with an opportunity for global exposure.
The award demonstrates recognition by FIATA, FFFAI and its participating sponsors of the need to develop quality in the forwarding industry and to reward young talent with valuable training opportunities.
To participate in the nomination process pertaining to the awards, the candidates should preferably have two years full time experience in supply chain logistics, should submit the dissertation on the topic stipulated by FIATA, and should fulfil the condition stipulated in the registration form.
The dissertation is an opportunity for the candidate to demonstrate a range of skills and qualities that are needed to pursue a successful career in international forwarding and supply chain logistics. It would demonstrate the knowledge base of the contestants concerning the following aspects: Identifying a problem or business opportunity; gathering relevant information on a specific situation; identifying possible changes or enhancements for the benefit of the forwarder or the client; evaluating the information and drawing one’s own conclusions; deciding what action should be taken; making reasoned and costed recommendations; quality of innovation and initiative; description and valuation of the situation, discussion of problems, opportunities, faults, relevant issues, benefits, costs, etc.
The dissertation should include two multimodal freight forwarding cases: one key import commodity/cargo from the candidate’s home economy, and one key export commodity/cargo to the candidate’s home economy. There will be limitation of 4000 and 6000 maximum words for the Dissertation and may be supplemented by graphs, photographs, examples etc. and should be in a single unlocked Word Document file.
The FFFAI Selection Panel will judge the dissertation and discussion on an understanding of what is being asked for in the question, ability to express ideas, facts and information clearly but simply; an ability to research a topic, analyse and structure the topic so as to be objective and an ability to evaluate, draw conclusions and make recommendations.
PROCEDURE TO PARTICIPATE:
- The registration form to participate in the ‘FIATA Young Logistics Professionals Award 2026’ has to be submitted to FFFAI by email at [email protected] on or before 15th December 2025
- Eligible candidates will receive intimation by email from FFFAI for participation in the Award on or before 20th December 2025 along with questionnaire and subject of the dissertation.
- Thme interested candidate will provide their answers to the questionnaire and submit dissertation paper of the nominated subject latest by 05th January 2026
- FFFAI Selection Committee will then scrutinize the application and the dissertation, short list the final candidate and announce the result by 10th January 2026
- The final short-listed candidate will be nominated for FIATA Young Logistics Professionals Award 2026 as a nominee of FFFAI.
- Please note that the completed Questionnaire and Dissertation has to be routed through the national association i.e. FFFAI only. Directly sent Questionnaires and the Dissertations without recommendation of FFFAI will be rejected by FIATA.
Regional Winners of the FIATA Young Logistics Professionals Award will receive the following:
- Attendance to the FIATA World Congress (including travel and accommodation allowance)
- Two weeks of practical and academic training, one week of academic training in London and
- One week of practical training at one of the TT Club’s regional centres (London, Hong Kong or New Jersey).
- Your long success story published into the International Transport Journal, Switzerland, and International Freighting Weekly, United Kingdom.
- Certificate of FIATA/YLP Trophy Name of winner will be displayed on FIATA/YLP website.
