India–Russia Trade Relations get a Major Boost at High-Level B2B Networking Event in Moscow : FIEO
MOSCOW : India and Russia reaffirmed their strong and expanding economic partnership at a high-profile India–Russia B2B Networking Event held at the St. Regis, Moscow. The event was jointly organized by the Embassy of India in Moscow, FIEO, ICC, and IBA, bringing together leading industry stakeholders to explore new avenues for bilateral trade and cooperation.


Addressing the gathering, Mr. Rajesh Agrawal, Commerce Secretary, Government of India, emphasized India’s deepening global engagement and reiterated that Russia remains a priority partner in New Delhi’s trade roadmap.
Mr. Vinay Kumar, Ambassador of India to Russia, highlighted the immense potential for Indian businesses in the broader CIS region, positioning Russia as a strategic gateway for exporters seeking new markets.
FIEO President Mr. S. C. Ralhan noted the consistent upward trajectory in economic exchanges between the two nations. He pointed out that bilateral trade has crossed USD 68 billion, with Indian exports surpassing USD 5 billion, reflecting a strong and trusted partnership.
India’s engineering and hand-tools sector also stood out, recording USD 450 million+ in exports to Russia and growing at 12–15% annually. With global-quality products offered at 30–40% lower costs, the sector is emerging as a strong contender in the Russian market.
