JNPA hosts high-level Argentine Delegation to strengthen maritime cooperation

MUMBAI : Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) welcomed a distinguished Argentine delegation led by Mr. Gustavo Adolfo Valdés, Governor of Corrientes Province, Argentina. The visiting team was received by JNPA Heads of Departments, with the Consul General of Argentina also present during the interaction.

Shri Girish Thomas, Chief General Manager (Traffic), briefed the delegation on JNPA’s operational capabilities and facilitated an insightful discussion on expanding bilateral cooperation. Key focus areas included strengthening trade ties, enhancing capacity-building and training collaborations, and exploring avenues for future maritime partnership.

The delegation was also updated on the upcoming Vadhvan Port project, which is poised to be a transformative addition to India’s port infrastructure and a catalyst for regional growth.

Reaffirming its commitment to global engagement, JNPA stated that it continues to build meaningful international partnerships aimed at driving innovation, connectivity, and sustainable maritime development.
