SINGAPORE : Ocean Network Express (ONE) has released an official customer advisory following the recent fire aboard the container vessel ONE Henry Hudson, providing updated information on the situation and the possible impact on onboard cargo.

In its statement, ONE confirmed that the fire, which broke out while the vessel was berthed at the Port of Los Angeles, has been brought under control by emergency teams. All crew members were evacuated safely, and no injuries were reported. The company noted that authorities, salvage experts, and the vessel owner are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the incident and assess the full extent of cargo damage.

According to ONE, preliminary inspections suggest that some containers may have been affected, though the scale of impact will only be known after a detailed assessment. Customers with shipments on board have been advised that further updates will be provided as soon as verification is completed.

The carrier expressed appreciation for the swift intervention of the port’s firefighting units, Coast Guard personnel, and first responders who worked through the night to contain the blaze and stabilize the vessel.

Salvage operations, cooling procedures, and safety checks are still underway, with relevant authorities maintaining a safety zone around the ship. ONE added that it remains in close coordination with the port, regulatory agencies, and insurance stakeholders to ensure a safe and transparent recovery process.

The company assured its customers that it is prioritizing communication and will share additional information, including timelines for cargo handling and next operational steps, as the situation develops.
