CHENNAI: Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) has announced a key leadership appointment in its Chennai Cluster, confirming that Shri A. Vijuvin, IRTS, has taken over as the new Cluster Head for Area III.
A seasoned railway professional, Shri Vijuvin brings extensive expertise spanning Railway Operations, Commercial and Marketing functions, as well as service excellence. His strong technical foundation — as a Civil Engineering graduate — complemented by an advanced management degree from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore, places him at the intersection of engineering efficiency and strategic business leadership.
CONCOR stated that his appointment reinforces the organisation’s commitment to delivering efficient and sustainable logistics services in the southern region, a crucial gateway for India’s export-import trade. His leadership is expected to further strengthen multimodal connectivity and operational innovations across key freight corridors.
Shri Vijuvin succeeds Shri K. Srinivasan, who has superannuated after a distinguished tenure with CONCOR. The organisation expressed deep appreciation for Shri Srinivasan’s visionary leadership and impactful contributions that helped shape the growth trajectory of the Chennai Cluster.
As Shri Vijuvin steps into the role, CONCOR looks forward to a new phase of development driven by enhanced customer-centric logistics solutions and regional expansion.
