VoC Port achieves record breaking milestone of discharging 38,319 MT of bulk coal

TUTICORIN : V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, Tuticorin, has achieved a remarkable milestone by discharging 38,319 MT of bulk coal at NCB-II Berth from MV DANAE I within just 24 hours.

This achievement was made possible through the deployment of two Harbour Mobile Cranes (HMCs) at NCB-II, along with the efficient utilisation of the newly created additional backup space—significantly enhancing cargo handling productivity and vessel turnaround time.

Vijay Trading Company, serving as the Stevedore and playing a key role in driving this increased cargo performance, and Ocean Masters Shipping Pvt. Ltd., as the Vessel Agents, contributed effectively to the smooth and timely operations.
