₹1.50 lakh crore road projects approved for Maharashtra : Nitin Gadkari

NAGPUR : Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari on Saturday (December 13, 2025) pointed out that road projects worth ₹1.50 lakh crore have been approved for Maharashtra for 2026, and work for most of the projects will start in “the next three months”.

The major infrastructure investments for Maharashtra, with road projects worth ₹1.50 lakh crore approved for 2026. Speaking during the winter session of the State legislature in Nagpur, Mr. Gadkari said work on most projects will begin within the next three months.

Projects under the Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation include a new Pune–Sambhajinagar expressway, highway repairs, and key flyovers aimed at reducing travel time significantly. Elevated highways connecting Talegaon–Chakan–Shikrapur and Hadapsar–Yevat have also received approval.

The Pune region alone will see investments of ₹50,000 crore, including a parallel Pune–Mumbai expressway. Major road works are also planned for Nagpur and Marathwada regions, boosting connectivity and economic growth across the State.
