Adani Ports signs strategic terminalling agreement with Musim Mas Group Subsidiary at Karaikal Port
KARAIKAL : Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) is pleased to announce the signing of a strategic terminalling service agreement with Tvarur Oils and Fats Private Limited, a subsidiary of the Musim Mas Group, a globally renowned leader in palm oil and edible oil products.
Under the agreement, Karaikal Port, operated by Adani Ports, will handle edible oil cargo at Tvarur Oils and Fats’ Puducherry facility, further strengthening the port’s role as a critical gateway for edible oil imports and distribution across South India.
The partnership is expected to significantly enhance supply chain efficiency, ensure seamless cargo handling, and reduce turnaround times through integrated port-led logistics solutions. Leveraging Karaikal Port’s modern infrastructure, storage capabilities, and multimodal connectivity, the collaboration will support the growing consumption demand for edible oils in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karnataka, and neighboring markets.
Speaking on the occasion, officials from Adani Ports highlighted that the agreement aligns with APSEZ’s strategy of developing commodity-specific logistics ecosystems, offering end-to-end solutions from berth to hinterland. The association with Musim Mas Group, a global agribusiness major with a strong presence across Asia, Africa, and Europe, underscores the confidence global players place in Adani Ports’ operational excellence.
The collaboration also contributes to India’s food security and essential commodities supply chain, reinforcing the government’s vision of resilient and efficient import infrastructure for critical agri-commodities.
