Allcargo Logistics strengthens its network to scale E-commerce and Quick-Commerce Infrastructure
Technology-led logistics networks enable predictable and scalable consumption
MUMBAI : Allcargo Logistics Limited, post approval of the organisation’s restructuring plan, housing its domestic supply chain business; Express distribution and Consultative logistics, has announced a focused expansion of its logistics network to support the fast-growing e-commerce and quick-commerce segments.
Allcargo Logistics is strengthening its networks with integrated capabilities across sorting, fulfilment, consolidation, cross-docking, value-added services, and secondary transportation. Across its e-commerce and quick-commerce operations, the company currently handles over 10 million packages every month and 25-30% increase during festive season, hence also enabling job avenues for blue collar workforce. A multi-city network approach extends service coverage across 6-9 metro cities as well as Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets. Technology-led solutions, such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), improve inventory visibility, enable better coordination across facilities, and support strong execution. Network planning and route optimisation initiatives further enhance vehicle utilisation and infrastructure efficiency – critical for meeting the speed and reliability demands of e-commerce and quick-commerce players.
Commenting on this, Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Allcargo Logistics, said, “As consumption patterns evolve and e-commerce scales beyond metros, logistics must function as a structured and reliable backbone. Our focus remains on building integrated networks, technology-led logistics, and disciplined mid-mile execution that enable consistent service delivery across sectors and geographies, while maintaining strong standards of safety and compliance throughout.”
The company’s diversified service capabilities are reflected in its long-standing partnership with a multinational conglomerate founded in Europe that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, household goods, and various related services. The company handles approximately 95% of the brand’s logistics operations across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai and Gujarat. In the quick-commerce segment, its B2C engagement with an Indian retailer brand that operates a chain of supermarkets and hypermarkets, includes customised services, network designing and planning for route optimisation and capacity planning.
As consumption patterns continue to evolve and e-commerce reaches deeper into India’s markets, Allcargo Logistics remains focused on building structured networks, enabling technology-led visibility, and driving disciplined execution to accelerate the growth across the sector.
Allcargo Logistics has significantly strengthened its nationwide presence by expanding and recategorizing its Transshipment Centres from 21 to 71 and recently announcing the Allcargo Extended Reach (AER) network, enabling coverage across 100% of India’s available PIN codes. The company has increased its mapped PIN codes from 21,000 to over 32,000. This number is due to the company’s extensive mapping of locations, which represent granular service clusters within each GOI – PIN code. Furthermore. Allcargo Logistics has doubled its direct serviceable PIN codes from 4,900 to more than 10,000, served directly through Allcargo Distribution Centres – enhancing connectivity, speed, reliability, operational efficiency, and overall customer experience across India.
