ONDC elevates Vibhor Jain as MD & CEO

The Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) has named Vibhor Jain as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 7, 2026.

Jain, who previously served as the Chief Operating Officer, had been leading the organization as acting CEO during a recent leadership transition. His formal appointment marks ONDC’s shift to a full-time leadership structure as it accelerates the expansion of its open digital commerce network.

With this new appointment, ONDC aims to strengthen execution capabilities and scale its ecosystem across sectors.

The leadership change follows the resignation of former MD and CEO Thampy Koshy in April last year after a three-year tenure. Subsequently, independent Director Arvind Gupta stepped down two months later.

ONDC is a government-backed initiative that enables buyers and sellers to transact across platforms through an interoperable network.
