JM Baxi KCT sets new record with largest-ever Parcel Handling
GANDHIDHAM : The JM Baxi Kandla Container Terminal (KCT) has achieved a significant operational milestone with the successful handling of its largest-ever parcel size, reinforcing its growing stature in India’s maritime logistics sector.
The container vessel MV Zhong Gu Yin Chuan sailed on April 8, 2026, with an impressive exchange of 7,799 TEUs at the terminal, setting a new benchmark in cargo handling. This achievement surpasses the previous record of 6,011 TEUs handled by MV Zhong Gu Lan Zhou in January 2025, marking a notable advancement in the terminal’s operational capabilities.
The milestone underscores seamless coordination, high operational efficiency, and the collective efforts of all stakeholders involved, including port authorities, terminal operators, and logistics partners. It reflects the terminal’s ability to handle increased cargo volumes with precision and reliability.
