CONCOR launches domestic container movement from Mysore to Shalimar Kolkata, strengthening multimodal logistics connectivity

MYSURU : In a significant development for India’s multimodal logistics sector, the Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) has successfully commenced domestic outward container movement from MMLP-Kadakola (GCCK), Mysore, to Shalimar, Kolkata, further expanding its nationwide rail-based logistics network.

The inaugural movement saw the loading and dispatch of 80 twenty-foot domestic containers from Mysore to Kolkata, marking the beginning of a new logistics corridor that is expected to enhance cargo transportation efficiency and provide seamless connectivity between southern and eastern India.

This milestone reinforces CONCOR’s ongoing efforts to strengthen integrated multimodal logistics infrastructure and create more efficient supply chain solutions for industries and businesses across the country. The service is anticipated to facilitate faster cargo movement, optimize transportation costs, and offer customers greater operational flexibility through dependable rail-based freight services.

The commencement of this container movement from Mysore also highlights the growing importance of Multi Modal Logistics Parks (MMLPs) in streamlining freight operations and supporting India’s logistics modernization agenda.
