NITI Aayog Review Meeting on ‘Non-Financial Regulatory Reforms’
NEW DELHI : A review meeting was jointly chaired by Shri Vijay Kumar (IAS), Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, and Shri Arvind Shrivastava, Revenue Secretary, Government of India to deliberate on key reforms identified by the NITI Aayog High-Level Committee on Non-Financial Regulatory Reforms pertaining to CBIC. Senior officials from the concerned Ministries and stakeholder departments participated in the discussions.
The meeting focused on streamlining export transshipment procedures, simplifying container movement processes, reducing manual approvals, and advancing digital clearances to improve vessel turnaround time. Deliberations also emphasized the adoption of uniform digital procedures across ports to enhance trade facilitation, strengthen ease of doing business, and improve the efficiency of India’s maritime logistics ecosystem.
