Evergreen expands Southeast Asia–India network through SI8/AIS5 Service

TAIWAN : Evergreen Line is set to strengthen its connectivity between Southeast Asia and India by joining the SI8/AIS5 Service, operated by Interasia, KMTC and Wan Hai, according to sources.

Under the arrangement, Evergreen will take vessel slots on the existing service, gaining access to an established trade route linking key markets across Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia with southern and western India.

The service provides a direct connection between major Southeast Asian gateways and Indian ports, supporting the movement of containerised cargo between the two regions.

The SI8/AIS5 service rotation scheduled like below:

Jakarta – Surabaya – Singapore – Port Kelang – Tuticorin – Nhava Sheva – Port Kelang – Jakarta

Evergreen’s participation adds another Southeast Asia–India connection to its network, enabling the carrier to leverage the existing service infrastructure and enhance its coverage of the growing regional trade corridor.

The move reflects continued efforts by carriers to expand connectivity between Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent amid increasing regional trade and containerised cargo flows.
