CHENNAI : Chennai Port Authority has achieved a significant milestone in India’s automotive export journey, with 19,300 vehicles handled in a single month, reaffirming the Port’s role as a key maritime gateway connecting India’s world-class automobile manufacturing sector with global markets.
The landmark achievement, accomplished through a seamless Roll-on/Roll-off (Ro-Ro) gateway, highlights the efficiency, reliability and operational capabilities of Chennai Port in supporting high-volume automotive exports.
The milestone is also a testament to the strength of the ecosystem comprising manufacturers, logistics partners, shipping lines, terminal operators and port authorities, working together to facilitate the smooth movement of vehicles from Indian manufacturing facilities to international destinations.
