CHANDIGARH : Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday (23 August) flagged off the first freight train from the newly constructed rail yard at the Integrated Multi-Modal Logistics Hub in Nangal Chaudhary, Mahendragarh district.
The IMLH’s first phase is being developed over 408 acres at a cost of approximately Rs 1,300 crore, while the railway link was built at a cost of around Rs 280 crore.
Once fully operational, the hub will have the capacity to handle around two million containers annually, positioning it as one of North India’s largest logistics facilities.
Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Shri Saini told industrialists that Haryana would no longer remain merely a producer of goods, but would emerge as a major hub for efficiently connecting its products with both global and domestic markets.
The entire project will eventually cover 886 acres in two phases, with work on the first 408-acre phase already completed.
Modern facilities for freight movement, warehousing, loading and unloading and rapid dispatch have been incorporated to reduce logistics costs and improve industrial efficiency.
