CBIC–French Customs dialogue focuses on India-EU FTA, trade facilitation, AEO programme and combating illicit trade
NEW DELHI: Shri Vivek Chaturvedi, Special Secretary, Government of India & Chairman, CBIC, held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Florian Colas, Director General, French Customs & Indirect Taxes, on 25 August, 2026 in New Delhi.
Discussions focused on strengthening Customs cooperation under the India-EU Customs Mutual Assistance Agreement, trade facilitation following the India-EU FTA, combating illicit trade networks, and promoting the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) programme.
The meeting reaffirmed the strong and longstanding India-France partnership and the shared commitment to secure, efficient and seamless global trade.
