Deendayal Port Authority celebrates Engineers Day 2024 with Grandeur
GANDHIDHAM : Deendayal Port Authority, Kandla commemorated Engineers Day 2024 with great enthusiasm and grandeur on 15th September 2024 at the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Convention Centre, Gandhidham. The celebration saw an active participation of engineers from all departments, including Mechanical and Electrical, showcasing the importance of engineering in port operations and infrastructure development.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri Sushil Kumar Singh, IRSME, Chairman-DPA; Shri Nandesh Shukla, IRTS, Deputy Chairman-DPA; Shri Ram Mohan Rao, IRS, Commissioner of Customs, Kandla; Shri A.K. Sharma, Senior Executive Director, IFFCO Kandla, and other senior officials of the port.
In his keynote address, Shri Sushil Kumar Singh, Chairman-DPA, delivered an inspiring speech that celebrated the pivotal role of engineers in nation-building. He emphasized the need to embrace cutting-edge technologies and foster a culture of research and innovation to drive infrastructure development in the country. He also paid homage to Sir M. Visvesvaraya, the visionary engineer whose contributions to India’s development remain unparalleled, encouraging the engineers to follow in his footsteps.
