DPT handles large Capesize Vessel of 292 mtrs LOA

GANDHIDHAM : A history was created at Deendayal Port Trust (DPT) when a Capesize vessel M.V. Berge Nyangani with LOA 292mtrs has been berthed safely at CB10 on Saturday, 25th September’ 21 afternoon by Pilot Capt G Raj under able guidance of Capt Pradeep Mohanty, Deputy Conservator of DPT.

It has broken its own record of bringing 269 mtrs of length Cape vessel to kandla during last month. Vessel M.V. Berge Nyangani will discharge 105000 MT of coal cargo at Kandla. Chairman of DPT, Shri S K Mehta has appreciated the efforts of Marine Dept. for this feat and is hopeful of many more such feats in future.
