DPT handling cargo smoothly at the Port even amidst adverse and challenging situations like the pandemic

GANDHIDHAM : Deendayal Port Trust, (DPT) which had handled 116.7 MMT of cargo in last fiscal continue to be the numero uno Major Port of the country for the 14th consecutive year is working smoothly even amidst adverse and challenging situations like the pandemic.

This article is in reference to the news of ” Indian port shutdowns may affect shipments of emergency items ” which was published by us on this portal www.indiashippingnews.com on 14th May, which was being received by us from some sources which later proved to be a non reliable source. The management of India Shipping News apologies DPT for the same.

Further, in the connection to the above said article being inadvertently published on India Shipping News portal, we spoke to Mr. Om Prakash Dadlani, PRO, Deendayal Port Trust over phone who informed us that, Even during this pandemic, i.e. from March 2020, the Port has been handling EXIM cargo smoothly and unhindered. DPT has also handled shipment of Oxygen Cylinders recently. The Port is also ensuring that sanitisation and COVID protocols are maintained effectively at the Port entry points.

He further added “DPT will continue to serve the country by peerless handling of cargo at the Port even amidst adverse and challenging situations like the pandemic.”
