French President Emmanuel Macron visits CMA CGM’s headquarters in Marseille

MARSEILLE : Welcome to the French President Emmanuel Macron, greeted by our CEO Rodolphe Saadé at the CMA CGM Tower in Marseille!

This visit of our headquarters, the first by a sitting French President, is a great honor and a source of pride for all our staff members around the world. It is a recognition of the strategic role that CMA CGM Group plays in world trade, as the French leader in transport and logistics, a symbol of French excellence and a strong contributor to the export of its expertise throughout the world. By sea, land or air, we transport the products of our everyday lives around the world.

We are committed to a responsible transport that is more respectful of the planet. We share this commitment with the French President, in the run-up to the opening of the World Conservation Congress, an event we are pleased to partner.

This visit was also an opportunity to reiterate the Group’s involvement in numerous solidarity actions, in France and around the world. By transporting masks or medical equipment to battle the Covid-19 pandemic, but also more broadly by transporting humanitarian aid through our Foundation to areas where populations are in danger, we remain faithful to the family values that contributed to the founding of our Group over 40 years ago.
