Gateway Rail flags off its first dedicated round trip export train service for Amul – GCMMF in association with CKB and Evergreen Shipping Line from ICD Viramgam for Nhava Sheva Port

Gateway Rail Freight Limited in association with Chinubhai Kalidass & Bros and Evergreen Shipping Line flagged off its first dedicated round trip Export Service between ICD Viramgam and Nhava Sheva Port on the 26th February for Amul – Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF)


The exporters in Ahmedabad region have been facing difficulty of shortage of containers for quite some time. This innovative round trip train service provided by GatewayRail solved this problem by bringing empty containers from Nhava Sheva Port area to carry exports back to Nhava Sheva Port.
The flagging off ceremony was graced by the presence of Shri Niraj Kumar – Deputy Commissioner of Customs Ahmedabad, Shri Ashish Singh – Divisional Operations Manager Ahmedabad Western Railway, Shri Satyen Desai – COO Chinubhai Kalidas, Shri Mukesh Dave – AGM Amul (Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation) and Shri Rahimuddin Shaikh – Evergreen Line at GatewayRail’s ICD Viramgam. The event was hosted by Mr. Prakash Veer Tyagi, ICD Business Head along with Mr. Abdul Farid Khan, Mr. Rojers Samual and Mr. Ashok K. Pandey of GatewayRail.
