GatewayRail flagged off the 1st ONE Line Double Stack Export Rail Service from ICD Gurugram to Pipavav

HARYANA: GatewayRail flag off the first ONE Double Stack Export Rail Service from ICD Gurugram (Garhi Harsaru) to Pipavav on 26thMarch 2021

Gateway Rail Freight Ltd (GatewayRail) and Ocean Network Express (ONE) flagged off the inaugural ONE Double Stack Export Train Service from ICD Gurugram to Pipavav Port on the 26th March 2021. This train service will provide assured connection for the export containers for “TIP and PS3” Service (ONE Line) berthing Pipavav Port on the 5th April 2021.

The flagging off ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr Takashi Ohgane – General Manager Japan Sales, Mr Ashim Varma – Deputy General Manager & Branch Manager Delhi, Mr Vivek Satyam – Associate General Manager (Sales), Mr Sunil Joshi – Senior Manager (Operations), Mr Saurabh Talwar – Senior Manager (Customer Service) from ONE. Mr Ajay Verma General Manager – Intermodal & Commercial, Mr Shailesh Modha Regional Sales Manager – Delhi NCR represented APM Terminals Pipavav at the ceremony. The event was jointly hosted by Mr. Rajguru Behgal – Head ICD Gurugram and Mr Ashish Jhunjhunwala – Head ICD Faridabad along with Mr. Lalit Lahori – Vice President Rail Transportation and Ms Samta Kamra Deputy General Manager – Liner Relationships.

GatewayRail currently operates three weekly “Sakura” import services carried by ONE through Pipavav Port for GatewayRail ICD at Gurugram, Faridabad and Ludhiana. The Sakura family of import services are the pioneering “Ship-to-Rail” service of GatewayRail for ONE (earlier NYK) and are considered the industry golden standard for dedicated intermodal service. GatewayRail operates similar services for all major carriers from Pipavav and Mundra Port cluster of terminals.
