New logistics park to come up in Ratlam, MP

INDORE : The Madhya Pradesh state governmen aimed at reducing cost of logistics and developing a market for local products in landlocked , is working on developing multimodal logistics parks, a move seen to lure new industries.

After recently proposing a Logistics Park in Indore on about 150 acres, another one is expected to come up in Ratlam.

The industrial policy and investment promotion department principal secretary and MPIDC chairman Sanjay Kumar Shukla said, “We are working on developing a multimodal logistics park in Ratlam on about 600-1,000 acres. MP has a lot of potential to become a hub for logistics given its location and connectivity with other states. We also have availability of land.”

Shukla said that the MP government is also planning to develop multimodal logistics parks in state capital Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur.
