VoC Port welcomes Indian Navy’s autonomous Surface vessel ‘Matangi’

TUTICORIN : Shri Suresh Babu, Chairperson i/c., & CME, and senior officers of the Port warmly welcomed Indian Navy’s indigenously developed autonomous Surface vessel, ‘Matangi‘ on her maiden visit to V.O.Chidambaranar Port Authority, Tuticorin

Tuticorin from Mumbai, covering about 850 nautical miles (1,500 km). The autonomous craft jointly developed by ‘The Weapons & Electronics Systems Engineering Establishment’ and ‘Sagar Defence Engineering‘ was launched virtually by Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Defence Minister on 29.10.2024, under the ‘Sagarmala Parikarma’ initiative during Swavlamban- 2024 at New Delh
