MUNDRA : In a significant development for India’s logistics sector, Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) has launched the movement of customer-owned specialized tank containers for transporting bulk liquid cargo. This initiative marks a new chapter in bulk liquid logistics and reinforces CONCOR’s commitment to enhancing multimodal connectivity across the country, informs a communique.

The operations commenced with full and part train loads from Mundra Port to key inland destinations including Dadri, Khatuwas, and Barhi. The first consignment, comprising tank containers loaded with industrial chemicals, was offered by M/s AMLF at Mundra Port for Inland Container Depot (ICD) Khatuwas on June 26, 2025.

This innovative logistics solution is a major milestone toward building a more efficient, sustainable, and green supply chain. By enabling bulk movement of liquid cargo via rail, CONCOR not only reduces dependency on road transport but also aligns with India’s goals for eco-friendly logistics and cost-effective transportation.

With this advancement, CONCOR continues to drive transformative change in India’s freight ecosystem, offering robust support to industries requiring safe and reliable liquid cargo movement across long distances.
