Adani Dhamra Port flags off first-ever Steel Slab Rake, marks Milestone in cargo handling

DHAMRA: Adani Dhamra Port achieved a significant operational milestone by successfully flagging off its first-ever steel slab rake, setting new benchmarks in efficiency, diversification, and cargo handling capabilities.

The operation involved the handling of 35,000 metric tonnes (MT) of premium steel slabs imported via M.V. HTK Neptune. Of this, 2,900+ MT comprising 133 slabs were meticulously loaded into 45 BFNS wagons and dispatched to Jindal Stainless Limited’s Kalinganagar plant.

Executed within the stipulated timeframe, this achievement underscores the port’s growing capacity to handle complex, large-scale cargo operations while maintaining industry-leading standards of speed, safety, and precision.

Speaking on the milestone, Adani Dhamra Port officials highlighted that this accomplishment reflects the dedication of the workforce, the trust of partners, and the port’s commitment to supporting India’s industrial growth.
