MUMBAI : PSA Mumbai has strengthened its regional maritime network with the introduction of the new SEI1 service, marking a major step forward in enhancing trade links between Southeast Asia and India. The service commenced operations with the inaugural call of a COSCO SHIPPING vessel on October 9, 2025.

The SEI1 service provides a direct and dedicated shipping connection between Nhava Sheva and key Southeast Asian ports such as Surabaya, Jakarta, Singapore, and Port Klang. This new route is designed to streamline cargo movement, ensuring faster transit times and improved schedule dependability for exporters and importers across the region.

By bridging these vital trade centers, SEI1 is expected to significantly strengthen trade flows within the Southeast Asia–India corridor, contributing to smoother logistics and better supply chain integration.

With the addition of this service, PSA Mumbai continues to reinforce its role as a premier maritime gateway, attracting global shipping lines and facilitating India’s expanding trade network. The initiative reflects PSA Mumbai’s ongoing commitment to supporting the nation’s economic growth and fostering stronger regional connectivity.
